WHAT MATTERS MOST

two words: Susan Boyle.

she has the confidence, the talent and that God-given gift of a beautiful voice. she's humble, courageous and strong. she, is the epitome of power.

she alone showed the world that it only takes 3seconds to change a stranger's perspective of their first impression of you with whatever beauty you have within. she demonstrated that whatever we have going on on the exterior is clearly irrelevant to indicators of us being unique individuals.

no one went on a talent show because their talent was how good-looking they were. even beauty pageants have talent segments, you dont see their contestants just standing there showing off their faces and doing nothing else.

i wanna effect that kind of 'awe' in people. i wanna be like her in this sense.

haha. but thats going to take a million years of effort and one huge miracle.

because looking at myself now, i have completely nothing to show for.

I have been officially crowned President of all school bums. In order to qualify, i just have to do absolutely nothing educationally.

Hence, its a walkover for me.

Ha. I hereby declare that I sucketh, true shrek-style.

COULD BE BETTER.

I have 200bucks left in my acct till the month ending april.
I have an unpaid phone bill of 115dollars.
I have to spend 70bucks on my contact lens.
Friends are mostly turning 21, which means more money needed for gifts.
I havent book the hotel for my bk trip.
Bob is having his birthday soon.
I owe my brother money.
I have exams soon, and i know nothing.
I have no motivation to complete my education as of now.
I got totally drenched when i arrived at school today.
I had to trouble my friend to fetch me with her umbrella, and she ended up feeling cold.
I had to sit through class in wet clothes.
I think i'm getting really sick.
I am feeling inadequate.
And nothing seems to ever work well anymore.

CIRCLES

Bob and I are plagued with financial sorrows. It seems like the allowance/pay doesnt come faster than the end of the current month! So bloody infuriating.

I think the govt is trying to makes us pay back the gaping hole left in their reserves by increasing the cost for practically everything. They should really look into revising their transportation cost. I mean, it'd be a real waste of money (think millions) if ppl actually stopped paying for overpriced mrt/bus fares.

And then they'll hafta spend somemore to remove their 'old' transport means to build new ones. Tsk.

I went to ubin recently. You would think that since its an ulu place you would spend very minimally right? Wrong! the ferry to and fro already cost 5bucks! And the ferry doesnt leave on scheduled timings so waiting is a must. And we all know how to some ppl, time equates money. So there.

So much for cheap escapades. I bet the reason why the ubin ppl priced their services in that manner is because they were modelling after the mainland ppl.

After all, we are still 'one' Singapore..

I love my country, inevitably. I just dont want any more reasons to love it less.

And making the people (or me) feel the pinch of 'small' scale inflation is doing the exact opposite!
